A quick tour of the planner — what each piece does and how to shape your trip. You can reach this page any time from the “Guide” link at the top.
Start location
Where your trip begins. For round trips, this is also where you return to.
Destination
Your final destination. For round trips, this is the turnaround point.
Waypoint (stop with stay)
Mainly used to control the route — add a waypoint to force the trip through a specific area or road. You can also set a stay duration if you want to spend time there (e.g. 1 night, 2 days). The route will pass through waypoints in order.
Overnight stop
Automatically placed stops where you sleep. The planner spaces these based on your max driving hours per day and finds good spots near the route.
Turnaround point (round trip)
For round trips, this marks your turnaround point — the furthest destination before heading home. Check "Round trip" to enable this. You'll get 5 different return route options to choose from — same way back, slightly different, or completely different routes (sometimes via ferry!).

Travel days & Start date
How many days your trip lasts and when it starts. Weather forecasts at each stop are based on these dates.

Max driving per day
The maximum hours you want to drive each day. Shorter = more stops and a more relaxed trip. 4 hours is a good default for RV travel.
Weather scores
Each stop shows a weather score (0–100) based on sunshine, rain, wind, and temperature. Click the weather icon at any stop to see the full forecast.
Activities
AI-suggested things to do at each stop — sightseeing, restaurants, nature, and more. These are generated based on the location and your travel dates.
🗺️Map filters
The round buttons on the right edge of the map let you show extra places along your route. Tap a button to open its panel, then tick the types you want — the map updates instantly. Tap a button again to hide its markers. Your choices are remembered while you browse.
Camping & parking
Places to stay overnight — campsites, motorhome/RV parking (“husbil”), rest areas, dump stations and more. Tick only the types you care about. Click a marker to see details, photos and reviews, or add the spot straight to your trip.
Sights & attractions
Things to see and do near your route — hikes, viewpoints, museums, castles, churches and caves, plus fishing, surfing, kitesurfing and climbing spots. Use “Select all” or pick individual types. Click any marker for photos and info, then add it as an activity to a nearby stop.

Near route only & zoom
Each panel has a “Near route only” switch. With a trip loaded it shows just the spots within about 50 km of your route; turn it off to browse everything in the current map view. Zoom in to load more — markers thin out when you zoom out so the map stays readable.

Edit mode
Click "Edit" to modify your trip — drag stops to reorder, change stay durations, add or remove waypoints, or adjust dates. Click "Replan" to recalculate the route after changes.

Save & Replan
Found at the top of the edit panel. Change your travel dates, number of days, or maximum driving hours per day, then click "Save & Replan" to recalculate the entire route. Overnight stops are redistributed based on your driving limit, but your manually added waypoints (★) are always kept. Use this after deleting a stop if you want the remaining stops recalculated evenly.
